1946 Harley FL Knucklehead Classic
Dave Iversen and Jilly Allen of Iversen Originals of El Cajon (San Diego area), California, United States, made available these photograps of their 1946 Harley FL Knucklehead classic motorcycle. Although this is not exactly a bobber, this knucklehead was just too beautiful to resist. So here she is.
Dave: "I purchased this bike in 1989 at the Antique Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet in Davenport, Iowa. It was a running motorcycle when I bought it. I disassembled the bike down to the bare frame, however the engine and transmission were left as they were when I purchased the bike. The engine runs and sounds good."
Here's a good view of the left side of the Knucklehead engine.
Note tank shift linkage and left foot clutch. The heel/toe controlled Rocker pedal allows the rider to put the left foot on the ground while waiting for a traffic light.
